Job Title: 2nd Shift Mechanic

Shifts Monday through Friday and Pay:

• $27 (7:00am to 3:30pm)
• $28 (3:00pm to 11:30pm)
• $28.50 (11:00pm to 7:30am)

Job Description

The Mechanic supports a high-volume manufacturing operation by troubleshooting and repairing production equipment, performing changeovers, and ensuring consistent product quality and line efficiency. This role combines hands-on mechanical work with basic computer and system interaction, contributing directly to safe, reliable, and productive operations on the production floor.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot machine issues and assist in repairs, including unjamming production lines, rethreading lines, and replacing worn or broken components such as drive belts and bearings.
• Manage product changeovers to minimize downtime, including changing paper sizes and adjusting multiple areas of the manufacturing line to meet production requirements.
• Perform general maintenance on machines and other production equipment to keep systems running safely and efficiently.
• Complete required production reports using basic computer skills, including Excel and Outlook, to communicate performance and issues to leadership.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical aptitude and comfort with hands-on work such as turning wrenches and working with mechanical assemblies, ideally with 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience in automotive repair, aviation repair, or related mechanical fields that involve troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems.
• Knowledge in running and repairing large-scale automation, including assembly lines and conveyor systems.
• Understanding of drive motors, belt and pulley systems, free-spinning and motor-driven rolls, and roll bearings, including the ability to replace bearings when needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with print application processes is a plus.
• Experience with glue or adhesive application systems is a bonus.
• Experience in construction or other mechanically intensive trades can translate well to this role.
• Familiarity with packaging operations, especially paper-based packaging such as industrial and commercial paper bags for building materials, food products, or e-commerce.

This is a Permanent position based out of Clinton, PA.

The pay range for this position is $53040.00 - $53040.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
