Summary: Responsible for assisting the store manager in promoting store sales through effective sales techniques (Up-selling and Cross-selling), managing and developing staff, providing great customer service and maintaining sufficient floor stock by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

·        Assist the store manager in maintaining the store staff job results as directed.

·        Assist the store manager in maintaining and stocking inventory, and pricing products as set forth by the store owner.

·        Assist the store manager in identifying current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and existing customers.

·        Maintains the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements.

·        Minimizes customer complaints through effective customer service in accordance with store policy.

·        Report any theft or suspected theft by customers or employees to the owner and take agreed-upon action.

·        Assist the store manager in staffing exercises which result in sufficient staffing for store needs at all times.

·        Ensures cash drawers are reconciled accurately on a daily basis.

·        Receives and examines deliveries for discrepancies and resolves problems promptly.

·        Performs other related duties as assigned by the manager.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

·        Assists manager with interviewing.

·        Enforces store policies at the manager’s direction.

·        At the manager’s direction, assigns daily duties and supervises store personnel to ensure smooth daily operations.

Education/Experience:

High School Diploma or Equivalent. Prior supervisory experience is helpful.
