Tax Manager (mostly Remote) Salary: $115,000 - $160,000 per year Location: Hybrid (remote and in‑person) – flexible Industry: Accounting & Finance (High Net Worth, Trust & Estate Planning) We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead tax planning for high net worth individuals and corporations. This role requires strong tax knowledge, wealth‑management expertise, and the ability to provide strategic tax advice while ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Responsibilities Oversee and manage the tax planning process for HNW individuals and corporate clients. Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, and S Corps. Provide strategic advice on 1031 Exchanges and other wealth‑management matters. Liaise with the IRS and other regulatory bodies on behalf of clients. Conduct comprehensive income tax planning and ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws. Provide expert guidance on gift tax matters. Collaborate with other departments to deliver integrated financial solutions. Stay current on tax law changes to offer up‑to‑date advice. Build and maintain strong client relationships, delivering exceptional service. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of tax management experience in the accounting or finance industry. CPA designation preferred; EA certification a plus. Proven experience with 1031 Exchanges, income tax preparation, gift tax, S Corp tax returns, and corporate tax returns. Extensive experience managing high net worth and corporate client accounts. Proficiency in dealing with the IRS and other regulatory agencies. Strong knowledge of wealth‑management strategies. Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment. High professionalism and integrity. Proficient with tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
