IT Asset - Shipping & Inventory Quality Associate

GTS Technology Solutions is seeking an IT Asset - Shipping & Inventory Quality Associate to support shipping, receiving, inventory, quality checks, and equipment handling in a public sector environment. This is a hands‑on role in a small, air‑conditioned warehouse environment. The right person does not need years of direct experience. What matters most is work ethic, reliability, coachability, accountability, attention to detail, accuracy, willingness to learn, and the ability to take initiative once trained. This role is a good fit for someone who takes pride in doing work correctly, follows instructions carefully, asks questions when needed, and can work with minimum supervision after training. Pay: $20/hour W2 Duration: Long‑term contract; potential contract‑to‑hire based on performance Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8‑hour shifts staggered between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship Background Check: Must be able to pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems, CJIS, background check upon hire What You Will Do Verify incoming shipments against ticket requests, packing slips, quantities, and item details Support outgoing shipments of equipment, devices, peripherals, and related items Check shipments for accuracy, completeness, condition, and presentation before they move forward Help ensure equipment is handled carefully and is not damaged during processing or shipment Assist with inventory counts and inventory accuracy Follow documented procedures and complete work according to required processes and deadlines Help keep the work area clean, organized, and ready for internal or customer visits Communicate clearly with team members Ask questions when instructions, shipments, counts, or processes are unclear Take initiative to stay productive and support related work once trained Work with minimum supervision after learning the role and required processes Support other shipping, inventory, processing, and quality‑related tasks as needed What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone dependable, teachable, and serious about doing the job the right way. The team is relaxed and supportive, but accountability and accuracy are important. Shipments and inventory must be handled carefully, accurately, and professionally. The team cross‑trains across responsibilities, so this person should be willing to help where needed, learn different parts of the process, and stay productive during slower periods. Background Check Requirements: Must pass a satisfactory criminal background check in accordance with Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) fingerprint‑based guidelines upon hire.
