in Lynchburg, VIRGINIA is looking for a strong, hands-on Production Manager to take ownership of our day-to-day production operation.

We need a leader who understands the whole picture—people, schedules, materials, equipment, quality, deadlines, workflow, and profitability. This person will keep projects moving, lead the production team, solve problems quickly, and create accountability throughout the department.

This is not a sit-behind-a-desk position, but it is also not a role for someone who wants to do everyone's work. We need someone who knows how to lead, delegate, prioritize, make decisions, and hold a team accountable.Key Responsibilities Manage daily production operations and workflowOwn production schedules, priorities, and deadlinesAssign workloads and manage team capacityLead, coach, train, and hold production employees accountableIdentify delays, bottlenecks, and problems before they impact deadlinesMaintain strong quality-control standardsOrder materials, manage inventory needs, source/research new materialsCoordinate shipping, deliveries, and outgoing completed projectsOversee equipment maintenance and production needsMaintain safety standards and an organized work environmentLead production/WIP meetings and communicate prioritiesTrack labor efficiency, material usage, job costing, and department KPIsDevelop and improve SOPs, systems, and production processesWork closely with sales, design, project management, and leadership to keep projects movingHelp build a production department that is organized, efficient, accountable, and profitableWhat We're Looking For 3+ years of management or production leadership experienceSign-industry experience strongly preferred with skills in Adobe, Onyx, Flexi, and standard sign manufacturing equipmentStrong people-management and leadership skillsProven ability to hold employees accountable and address performance issuesExcellent organization, scheduling, and communication skillsStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilityAbility to manage multiple projects and changing prioritiesUnderstanding of production workflow, materials, quality, labor, and job costingComfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentHands-on mentality with the ability to delegate and lead rather than becoming the bottleneckThe Right Person We are looking for someone who takes ownershipYou should know what is due, what is behind, what is at risk, and what needs attention without waiting for someone else to tell you.
