Human Resource Business Partner I

You will deliver essential HR services across consultation and training, recruitment, benefits and leave administration, job analysis and classification, and related program administration. This role may support multiple agencies, offering broad impact and collaboration opportunities. Key responsibilities Assist employees with inquiries related to benefits and updating LUMA HRIS profiles. Research HR topics, produce reports, and present recommendations to management. Suggest updates to personnel policies and procedures. Review personnel actions and employment activities for compliance with federal, state, and agency rules and policies. Track and process FMLA leave requests, leave donations, and service requests. Maintain electronic personnel files. Administer changes in LUMA HRIS for new hires, transfers, promotions, and pay rate updates. Draft and send correspondence as needed. Coordinate, conduct, and facilitate employee orientation and other HR trainings. Prepare and submit personnel and benefits documents. Assist with the First Report of Injury and Workers' Compensation claims. What you bring Experience in human resource administration. Understanding of equal employment opportunity concepts and legal requirements. Ability to interpret, explain, and apply laws, regulations, and policies. Experience counseling employees on HR matters. Knowledge of employee recruitment methods. Experience administering employee benefits programs. Understanding of job analysis concepts. Familiarity with training methods. Data analytics skills.
