Description:
The Timbers Assisted Living Facility is seeking a compassionate and dependable Cook to join our dining services team. The ideal candidate will enjoy preparing nutritious, home-style meals and take pride in serving seniors in a warm, respectful environment. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook daily meals according to menus and dietary requirements
- Ensure meals meet nutritional guidelines and resident preferences
- Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and workstations
- Assist with menu planning and food inventory as needed
- Work collaboratively with dietary and care staff to support resident needs
Qualifications:
- Previous cooking experience preferred (healthcare or senior living a plus)
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to follow recipes and accommodate special diets
- Reliable, organized, and team-oriented
- Must be able to pass required background checks
