Responsibilities

The Line Cook assists with preparation of palatable and appetizing meals/foods for nursing centers patients, guests and employees and ensures satisfaction with the dining experience.

*Assists with food preparation following menus, recipes, and menu systems to prepare and serve meals, snacks, and nourishments in accordance to prescribed patient diets and requests.

*Serves meals/foods in various dining locations, including point-of-service made to order foods as requested.

*Meets established mealtime schedules for all dining locations.

*Always handles and prepares food in a safe and sanitary manner with proper labels, dates, and monitors food temperatures and acts on temperatures that fall outside of appropriate ranges.

*Sets-up, cleans-up and properly stores food and supplies needed for meal service in all dining locations.

Qualifications

*Must be able to read, write, speak, and follow written and oral directions in the English language.

*Culinary Arts degree or certification or a minimum of two years culinary experience in the restaurant environment required.

*Serve-Safe Certification preferred.

Posted Salary Range

USD $18.00 - USD $18.00 /Hr.
