Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA)

Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) Job Summary: As a BCaBA, you will provide high‑quality, school‑based ABA services to students and supervise RBTs. You will be responsible for a "whole child" approach, from assessments to supervision, and manage Medicaid billing and data collection. Task Completion Provide direct student instruction and assist staff implementation in one‑on‑one and group settings. Follow prescribed behavior protocols and prepare materials as necessary. Collect, analyze and use data to guide skill acquisition and behavioral assessments. Document interventions, progress data, and observation notes; maintain accurate records including Medicaid, session notes, student attendance, and communication logs. Lead training for staff and families as directed by the BCBA. Demonstrate reliability, skill proficiency, and competence in carrying out assignments. Maintain certification/license via continuing education credits. Implement crisis/emergency procedures per protocol. Other duties as assigned. Collaboration and Communication Report to Behavior Support Coordinator on student progress and protocols. Communicate with staff and BCBA regarding student progress. Collaborate with school teams and contribute to IEPs and meetings. Communicate effectively with supervisors, peers, stakeholders. Work cooperatively with supervision or as part of a team. Analyze facts, solve problems, make decisions, and demonstrate good judgment. Display fairness towards colleagues and students. Instructional Responsibilities Work with students individually and in small groups to reinforce learning and implement programs. Assist in classroom preparations and strategies for instructional reinforcement. Assist with record‑keeping of student learning and performance. Supervise students in non‑instructional areas such as lunch, bus duty, playground, corridor, study hall, and other assignments. Accompany students on field trips for supervision. Support all school‑wide and classroom instructional and behavioral supports. Clinical Oversight & Program Success Assist/implement comprehensive initial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans. Plan, manage, and coordinate staff efforts to achieve IEP objectives. Implement program curricula and ensure overall clinical effectiveness. Manage, record, and report daily data regarding client status and progress. Bill Medicaid promptly. Provide high‑quality training and supervision to Behavior Technicians. Work under BCBA supervision to meet BACB requirements. Provide direct services and coaching to clients and parents to ensure generalization. Prepare annual reports evaluating program effectiveness and making data‑driven recommendations. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Remain free of alcohol or non‑prescribed controlled substances. Follow safety rules, procedures, and regulations for all students. Use personal computers and software (Word, Excel, Google Docs). Maintain confidentiality of information. Establish supportive, compassionate relationships with students. Communicate effectively in writing and verbally. Manage multiple priorities and tasks with interruptions. Diffuse and manage volatile/stressful situations. Accept constructive feedback and develop skills accordingly. Maintain honesty and integrity in all aspects of the job. Develop and maintain professional relationships with students, co‑workers, and supervisors. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field (required). BCaBA certification. Experience: Proven experience with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges using ABA. Preferred: experience in a school setting. Physical Requirements Stand for extended periods. Lift or carry up to 25 lbs. Work at desk, conference table, or meetings. Read laws, codes, rules, policies, and printed matter. Hear and understand normal speech. Communicate clearly in normal conversation. Operate office equipment. Reach in all directions.
