Job Overview A law firm seeks an experienced Medical Malpractice Attorney to join their Birmingham, Alabama office. The attorney will manage a complex caseload from pre-litigation through trial, contributing to a well-established practice group. Duties Handle medical malpractice cases from intake through resolution, including trial. Draft and file litigation documents such as pleadings, discovery requests, and motions. Guide clients through the case process. Interact with expert witnesses, including drafting reports and affidavits. Prepare for and attend depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances. Requirements Law degree from a fully accredited law school. Active member in good standing with the AL State Bar Association. 5+ years of personal injury litigation experience, ideally in medical negligence/malpractice. Ability to manage a high volume of cases. Excellent client service and communication skills. Self-starter driven by long-term career goals. Superior writing and oral advocacy skills. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications Active membership with the AL State Bar Association. Skills Strong litigation and trial preparation skills.
