Job Overview

University of Michigan Health-West invites applications for a focused clinical cognitive neurologist to join a team of physicians and advanced practice providers. The primary responsibilities include diagnosing and managing adult neurological conditions, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and providing patient and family support.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a wide spectrum of adult neurological conditions (headache, epilepsy, stroke, neuropathy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, dementia, neuromuscular disorders, etc.).
• Collaborate with surgeons, radiologists, and advanced practice providers in multidisciplinary treatment planning.
• Engage in comprehensive stroke care and sub‑specialized ambulatory care.
• Stay current with emerging therapies and clinical trial opportunities.
• Educate and mentor medical students and residents.
• Develop strong relationships with patients and families, offering emotional support throughout the treatment journey.

Qualifications

• Medical or osteopathic degree (MD/DO).
• Board certification in neurology or equivalent and a fellowship in cognitive neurology.
• Full‑time, FTE: 1 with a willingness to collaborate within the University of Michigan Health-West system.
