Counselor - Substance Use Disorder - Chicago - Austin

Overview This position provides counseling services at the Austin Health Center, supporting patients through individualized treatment plans and group sessions. Responsibilities Provide counseling services with caseloads structured and managed to support effective, patient-centered care. Complete individualized treatment plans for each patient, addressing needs identified in psychosocial assessments. Provide group and individual sessions in accordance with patients' treatment plans. Review and evaluate patients' progress and continued stay in relation to measurable goals and objectives, modifying plans as needed. Plan and assist with implementation of aftercare and continuing recovery plans upon discharge. Maintain a minimum of 50% of time in direct, face-to-face counseling contact. Schedule Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Start Date ASAP Work Location 4800 W. Chicago Ave. – Tuesday and Thursday 310 West Chicago Ave. – Monday, Wednesday, Friday Compensation $43,000 – $55,000 per year, based on certification and experience; sign‑on bonus available for certified candidates. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree (or higher) and prior substance abuse treatment experience preferred. Licensure (LPC, LCPC, LSW, LCSW) or CADC certification strongly preferred; CADC required within two years of hire date, depending on experience. DCFS clearance required.
