Superintendent

We are seeking a highly organized Commercial Construction Superintendent to be apart of a team for multi-family and commercial construction projects from inception to completion. This role is vital in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, extensive construction site experience, and a passion for driving project success through effective supervision, coordination, and communication. As a key leader on-site, you will coordinate subcontractors, manage schedules, enforce safety protocols, and ensure all work aligns with project plans and specifications.

Duties

• Lead and supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and safety standards.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to facilitate smooth workflow and resolve issues promptly.
• Develop detailed project schedules using Procore management software; monitor progress regularly to meet deadlines.
• Track material deliveries through tools like ProCore and Bluebeam.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control, safety compliance (OSHA standards), and adherence to blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
• Manage project documentation including daily reports, safety logs, RFIs (Requests for Information), submittals, and progress reports.
• Supervise subcontractors and labor crews; provide clear direction and support to ensure efficient work execution.
• Implement cost control measures by monitoring budgets closely; assist in estimating costs for change orders or scope adjustments using HeavyBid or similar estimating software.
• Enforce safety protocols rigorously; conduct safety meetings and inspections with a focus on OSHA compliance.
• Review technical drawings such as schematics; utilize tools like ohmmeters for electrical testing as needed during quality checks.
• Maintain open communication channels with all stakeholders to keep projects aligned with client expectations and contractual obligations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction management with a focus on commercial projects; supervisory experience is essential.
• Strong knowledge of construction site operations including blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating.
• Proficiency in construction management software such as ProCore for scheduling and project tracking.
• Familiarity with contracts management processes and change order procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately; experience with electrical testing tools like ohmmeters is a plus.
• Extensive on-site construction experience with a solid understanding of safety regulations including OSHA standards.
• Excellent management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively while fostering a safe work environment.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines.
• Valid certifications in OSHA safety standards; additional certifications related to construction supervision or specialized trades are advantageous.
