Oracle PL/SQL Developer

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Oracle PL/SQL Developer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role is part of a technology financial project focused on new application development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining Oracle database objects, including advanced PL/SQL packages, procedures, and triggers, while ensuring high performance and compliance with security and data governance standards.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Oracle database objects, including PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, tables, views, indexes, and materialized views
• Perform performance tuning and query optimization
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Perform root-cause analysis and resolve production issues
• Create technical design documents, data flow diagrams, and deployment plans
• Support application releases, code promotions, and change management activities
• Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders
• Collaborate with QA, developers, business analysts, and project managers to deliver solutions on schedule

Requirements:

• Experience with Oracle Database (19c or later)
• Advanced PL/SQL development skills
• Experience with SQL performance tuning
• Knowledge of data modeling and database design
• Experience with version control tools (Git, Bitbucket)
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise applications
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong presentation and stakeholder-management skills
• Ability to gather and clarify complex requirements

Pay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hour
