About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse First Assist Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years RN experience License: Current active and unencumbered license to practice as an RN in the primary scope of practice Certifications: BLS; Successful completion of an accredited Registered Nurse First Assistant training program; Current CNOR certification; Current CRNFA certification or active participation in the examination process with achievement of certification within 12 months of eligibility Must-Have: Robotics, Urology, and Thoracic experience Description: Registered Nurse First Assist position available in the Operating Room. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of RN experience. No first-time travelers will be accepted. Candidates must be willing to go through credentialing, which can take 30 to 60 days. Shifts will be 4x10 hours, from 06:45 to 17:15, with occasional on-call duties during weekdays and weekends. Robotics, Urology, and Thoracic experience are required. Candidates are expected to have skills in instrumentation, manipulation of surgical materials, and aseptic technique. Self-scheduling for on-call will involve some weeknights and weekends on a rotating schedule. Candidates must show documentation of receiving the flu vaccine, unless a medical exemption is provided. Candidates may be required to travel up to 100 miles for fit testing on approved masks. Two managerial or charge references within the past two years are required. The full file must be submitted with complete documentation prior to the start date. Insufficient documentation will result in a delay in the start date.
