Sr. Buyer

A leading defense technology company in Longmont, CO is seeking a Senior Buyer to support the procurement and strategic sourcing of highly technical materials used in advanced directed energy laser systems. This role will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts and purchase orders, coordinating deliveries, supporting engineering and program teams, and driving supplier performance improvements. The ideal candidate has extensive purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment, strong ERP experience, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a highly technical, fast-paced defense setting. Qualifications 8+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or buyer roles. 5+ years of recent supply chain experience supporting a manufacturing environment. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field. Experience managing suppliers, purchase orders, and sourcing activities for technical or manufactured products. Contract negotiation experience with suppliers and vendors. Strong knowledge of ERP systems; experience with multiple platforms required. Ability to analyze supplier performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Experience working within regulated industries and navigating complex procurement processes. Dynamics 365 experience is highly preferred.
