Logistics Receiver - Blue Buffalo

General Mills, Inc. manufactures some of the most beloved foods in the world, including Cheerios and Lucky Charms. Our Blue Buffalo division also creates specialty dogs’ food. We are looking for a Logistics Receiver to monitor and audit incoming ingredients for compliance. Logistics Receiver, Blue Buffalo – Joplin, MO Shift hours: 12‑hour shifts; 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off schedule Day shift: 6:45 am – 7 pm Night shift: 6:45 pm – 7 am Currently hiring for night shift only Ability to work overtime, any shift, including days, nights, weekends and holidays Plant operates 24/7 Pay: $20.50 per hour Shift differential: additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 7 pm and 7 am Benefits: Up to 10 days (120 hours) of vacation annually and 11 paid company holidays Great paid time off benefits 401(k) match Health insurance – medical, dental, vision and life Pet parent perks – pet insurance and pet adoption reimbursement And more What your day will look like: Evaluate and inspect physical, chemical and sanitary characteristics of raw ingredients, materials, products and packaging Collect and document test data, send/receive analytical samples and results, and troubleshoot process problems Support operators with supplies and machine assembly/disassembly Cross‑train on other positions and provide coverage when needed Sanitize required areas Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to increase platform performance Assist in training new employees What you have to offer: Minimum of a high school diploma or GED At least 1 year of stand‑up counterbalance forklift experience Forklift experience (preferable in manufacturing or warehouse setting) Preferred: experience in a manufacturing/production environment Preferred: experience in warehouse operations and use of a WMS Forklift license/certification or willingness to obtain one Basic computer skills, including the ability to interact with digital systems used in daily tasks Physical requirements: Can lift up to 50 lbs Can perform physical tasks for extended periods, including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting Can climb and/or work at heights using stairs, ladders, personnel lifts or platforms Can wear protective clothing and equipment such as safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, a hard hat, a hair/beard net and gloves when required Willing and able to adhere to grooming requirements necessary for a food manufacturing environment Can work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet environmental conditions Willing to work around industrial high‑speed moving machinery Can work with allergens present in a food environment Can work in a tobacco‑free environment Location: Joplin, MO – historic plant producing Blue Buffalo dog food and dog treats.
