Assistant Project Manager

Our client, a leading commercial design-build firm, is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join its team in the Austin metropolitan area. About the Role The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Manager to support the delivery of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. Responsibilities Support the Project Manager with the day-to-day delivery of commercial design-build projects Maintain clear communication between clients, designers, subcontractors, and field teams Assist with developing and maintaining project schedules Support project budget setup and complete budget revisions as required Manage submittals, shop drawings, and other project documentation Prepare, submit, and track change orders Process owner and subcontractor billings and track outstanding payments Develop a strong understanding of owner and subcontractor contracts Coordinate procurement and logistics to ensure materials arrive on schedule Complete project closeout documentation in line with contract requirements Build strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders Effectively use project management software and reporting tools Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Engineering, or a related field Minimum of three years of experience with a commercial general contractor or design-build firm Must currently reside within the Austin metropolitan area Experience using construction project management software Timberline, Sage, or Autodesk Forma experience would be beneficial Required Skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proactive and motivated, with a desire to progress into a Project Manager position Preferred Skills Experience using construction project management software Timberline, Sage, or Autodesk Forma experience would be beneficial #J-18808-Ljbffr Centurion Selection
