Laurel Road Veterinary Clinic is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team!

This is an excellent opportunity for outgoing technicians with a strong background in patient care and handling, who thrive on building meaningful connections with clients and their pets.

We are currently hiring due to exciting growth within the practice, including the addition of a new doctor, creating an opportunity for a talented Veterinary Technician to join our expanding team.

In this role, you will:

• Provide exceptional patient and client care by ensuring an efficient exam room workflow.
• Maintain accurate, detailed medical records.
• Review treatment plans and discharge instructions with clients, answering questions with empathy and clarity.
• Support the veterinarian’s orders during outpatient care and procedures to ensure the highest level of patient care.

This position is ideal for team members who excel in client engagement and schedule management while delivering exceptional care and communication

Schedule:
This is a flexible, full-time position , with availability needed Monday–Friday with rotating weekends.

• Compensation: $18-25/hour, for each hour worked, based on experience.*

Minimum qualifications and skill set:

• 3+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
• Proficiency in:
  • Radiology
  • Phlebotomy and laboratory sample collection
  • SC, IM, and IV injections
  • Inpatient care and anesthesia monitoring/recovery
  • Obtaining vitals and patient histories
  • Client communication and education
  • Animal restraint
  • Dental prophylaxis and dental radiographs
  • Microscope evaluation

Laurel Road Veterinary Clinic is a well-established 5-doctor small animal practice in Nokomis, Florida, dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality veterinary care in a collaborative and supportive environment. Our hospital utilizes modern equipment including Digital X-Ray, Digital Dental Radiographs, Ultrasound, Laser Therapy, and IDEXX in-house laboratory equipment.

As our practice continues to grow and welcome new doctors, we are excited to expand our team and create additional opportunities for skilled veterinary technicians.
