• Active RN license in Ohio
• 3+ years of nursing experience
• Certifications: BLS/BCLS and ACLS

Job Description

The Medical-Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care and develops individualized care plans for patients admitted to the unit. The role involves assessing patient conditions, administering treatments and medications, and monitoring patient outcomes. The RN collaborates with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families to ensure quality care is delivered consistently.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and create personalized care plans.
• Assess patient conditions and implement appropriate treatments and medications.
• Monitor patient outcomes and respond effectively to complications and changes in conditions.
• Deliver patient education, health counseling, and assist with discharge planning.
• Maintain accountability for patient care while supervising and delegating nursing tasks.
• Ensure patient safety, confidentiality, and compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
• Report directly to the Department Manager with oversight from Nursing Leadership.

Additional Information

The nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1:5 and may flex to 1:6. This position does not require on-call responsibilities, does not include holiday coverage, and requires weekend work every other week. Familiarity with EPIC and Pyxis is preferred, although training will be available. HARP/CPI training is also preferred, but training can be provided as needed.
