Job Summary: The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver responsible for a group of patients during a designated time frame. The RN provides care using the nursing process, current trends, technology, and available resources within the institution's philosophy. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation. The RN ensures patient and employee safety, communicates effectively, and supports professional development.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum one (1) year of relevant nursing experience
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN)
• Illinois state RN License in good standing
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Additional Information:

• Assess ortho and medical/surgical patients every shift
• Educate patients on wound care, mobility, self-care, medication management, and care transition needs
• Coordinate with physicians and surgeons on patient care
• Delegate and monitor interventions of HCT staff
• Set up and manage ortho traction and surgical traction devices
• Manage wound appliances such as wound vacs, drains, pouches, and urological devices
