Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) - Location: Not specified. This position involves providing basic and critical respiratory care services to pediatric and adult patients in a healthcare facility. The role requires independent work as well as supervision of other staff, ensuring high-quality patient care, accurate documentation, and compliance with departmental policies.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating shifts, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree or equivalent (some certifications will require Bachelors); Licenses/Certifications including Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-RRT) credential or Certified Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-CRT) credential; Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license in CA; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• Preferred Qualifications: Masters Degree; three years' technical experience; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification; Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) certification.
• Additional Information: Performs arterial blood gas draws, administers aerosol and oxygen therapies, manages ventilator patients, and assists with specialized procedures such as bronchoscopies. Evaluates patient condition and ensures equipment readiness. Contributes to staff training, quality control, and adheres to safety protocols, including VAP bundle compliance for ventilated patients.
