Lift Cafe Angel Fire Resort is hiring for enthusiastic baristas to join our team this summer season. The barista position is responsible for serving menu items such as coffee and sandwiches while providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Some of the duties of this position include preparing coffee, tea, and pre-made food items, entering orders and ringing guests up on a Point-of-Sale system, and providing excellent customer service in a demanding environment.

The ideal applicant will have an attention to detail, will prioritize cleanliness, and will work well on a team.

Base Pay: $14/hr + tips

Required Certs or Licenses: Food Handler Cert (nmfoodhandlers.com), NM Alcohol Servers License (waytoserve.org)

Attendance: Regular, predictable, punctual, flexible, and in-person attendance is essential, includes weekends and holidays

Minimum Age: 18

Qualifications: At least one year of strong barista and cash handling experience preferred

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

• Provides excellent customer service to guests in the cafe
• Consistently provides quality beverages and food products by adhering to recipe and presentation standards
• Become proficient with the POS System to ring guests out accurately
• Completes all daily cleaning and stocking tasks
• Regularly checks food and beverage items to ensure quality and monitor expiration dates
• Anticipates customer and caf needs by constantly evaluating environment and guests for cues
• Work well with co-workers and contribute to positive team environment
• Follows safe food handling procedures

Work Environment: This is an indoor position. Must be able to stand and talk for entire shift and occasionally lift/carry 35 pounds.
