Laboratory Technician

Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Laboratory Technician who will be responsible for preparing samples for the Flavorist and Sales department. This role involves preparing formulation samples for customers, maintaining stock in the laboratory, and assisting Flavorists as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepares formulation samples for customers.
• Completes sample requests in a timely manner.
• Maintains stock of current materials in the laboratory.
• Maintains Research & Development's completed formula batch tickets and files them monthly.
• Assists Flavorists as needed.
• Obtains all samples and ensures quality control approval prior to shipping to customers.
• Keeps laboratory in order and ensures glassware is cleaned, dried, and put away.
• Ensures all expired samples and raw materials are discarded properly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Science, or an equivalent area.
• 2 - 4 years of experience working in a lab setting.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven organizational skills required.

Additional Requirements

• This position requires regular presence in the office.
• Some travel may be required.
