R&D Electrical Engineer, Santa Clara, CA, On-Site

Job Overview Electrical/Hardware Engineer – Santa Clara, CA (On‑Site, Hybrid: minimum 3 days in office). US Citizenship required. Location & Work Arrangement Office: Santa Clara, CA. Standard business hours 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. Hybrid work model – expected to work from the HPE office at least three days per week. Responsibilities Design portions of engineering solutions for electrical and electronic parts, subsystems, integrated circuitry, and algorithms based on established engineering principles and provided specifications. Implement established test plans for existing designs, including validation of tolerances, form/fit/function, system measurements (RF, digital, power). Develop understanding of and relationships with internal and outsourced development partners on electrical hardware design and development. Participate as a member of project teams with other electrical hardware engineers and external partners to develop reliable, cost‑effective, high‑quality solutions for low‑ to moderate‑complexity products. Knowledge & Skills Experience or understanding of electrical design tools and instrumentation equipment. Good analytical and problem‑solving skills. Knowledge of PoE, Wi‑Fi, and design for electronic components, integrated circuitry, and algorithms. Understanding of thermal and electromagnetic properties of materials and managing emissions. Strong troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving hardware and network issues. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English. Proficiency in documenting hardware configurations, network setups, and testing procedures. Education & Experience Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, with 2–4 years of relevant experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment. Compensation Annual Salary USD 81,400 – 164,400 (California). Variable incentives may also be offered.
