Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Newborn Nursery

Hours: 36 Hours/Week
Shift: Nights | 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
Schedule: Alternating Weekends
Pay Rate: $48.60
Start: ASAP

✨ Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Newborn Nursery to join the team at Merit Health Natchez . This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled nursery RN who is passionate about providing exceptional care to newborns and supporting families during one of their most important moments.

You'll work in a collaborative clinical environment while providing safe, attentive, and evidence-based care to newborn patients throughout your assignment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to newborns in the nursery setting.

• Monitor newborn vital signs, clinical status, feeding, and overall well-being.

• Perform newborn assessments and promptly identify changes in condition.

• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols.

• Assist with newborn screenings, routine procedures, and ongoing assessments.

• Support and educate parents on newborn care, feeding, safety, and discharge preparation.

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

• Collaborate effectively with physicians, lactation staff, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

• Follow infection-control, patient-safety, and hospital policies at all times.

✅ Requirements

• Active RN license eligible to practice in the assignment state.

• Previous Newborn Nursery / Nursery RN experience required.

• BLS ,NRP certification required.

• STABLE certification required.

• Permanent residence must be 50+ miles from the facility .

• Must be available for night shifts and alternating weekends .

• Strong communication, assessment, and clinical decision-making skills.

Scrub Requirement

Pink scrubs required.
