Company Description Small Talk Pediatric Therapy is a family-centered pediatric therapy clinic serving children and families throughout Meridian and the Treasure Valley. Our multidisciplinary team provides speech, occupational and physical therapy through individualized, play-based care. Role Description Small Talk Pediatric Therapy is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist to join our growing pediatric therapy team. The Speech-Language Pathologist will evaluate and treat children with a variety of communication needs while partnering closely with parents, caregivers and other members of the child’s care team. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, values collaboration and understands how to make therapy engaging and meaningful through play. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for pediatric clients. Develop individualized plans of care based on each child’s strengths, needs and family goals. Provide evidence-based treatment for speech, language and communication needs. Support children in areas such as receptive and expressive language, articulation, phonological development, social communication, fluency and functional communication. Incorporate play, books, toys, movement and everyday routines into treatment sessions. Educate parents and caregivers on practical strategies they can use at home. Maintain timely, accurate and compliant documentation, including evaluations, treatment notes and progress reports. Collaborate with occupational therapists, physical therapists, physicians, educators and other professionals involved in the child’s care. Communicate progress, recommendations and changes in treatment clearly and compassionately with families. Participate in team meetings, continuing education and clinic initiatives. Maintain a safe, organized and welcoming therapy environment. Follow all clinic policies, professional standards and patient privacy requirements. Contribute to a supportive team culture focused on high‑quality, family‑centered care. Qualifications Required Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited program. Current Idaho Speech‑Language Pathologist license or eligibility to obtain Idaho licensure. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech‑Language Pathology from ASHA, or eligibility based on the clinic’s ability to support a Clinical Fellowship. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate professionally and compassionately with children, parents, caregivers and team members. Strong clinical judgment, organization and time‑management skills. Ability to complete documentation accurately and within required timelines. Commitment to individualized, ethical and evidence‑based pediatric care. Ability to successfully complete all required background checks and employment screenings.
