Financial Analyst, DK (Hybrid)

DK is a global publisher of books, operating in over 60 languages with a team in New York. We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our US finance team, reporting directly to the Finance Manager. Responsibilities Monthly Close Support the monthly financial close process through variance analysis and journal preparation. Own close tasks such as creating and updating reporting packages and performing ad‑hoc sales and cost analysis. Integrate technological advancements into existing processes to improve efficiency. Reporting and Financial Analysis Evaluate financial performance by comparing actual results with budget, forecast, and prior year. Maintain a thorough understanding of the company’s financial performance. Develop expertise in DK’s reporting and accounting systems and policies. Provide data, analytics and insights across the organization. Oversee daily sales and weekly sales reporting. Assist the Finance Manager and VP of Finance & Operations with commercial analysis and projects as required. Budgeting Assist in preparing the budget and rolling forecasts, ensuring accuracy through analytical review. Support the preparation of the budget pack for presentation to the DK Board. Coordinate with UK finance colleagues on key deliverables, including intercompany purchases and charges. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in finance/accounting or related analytical role. Publishing experience is a plus. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas and pivot tables. Strong commercial and technical accounting skills. Excellent analytical, reporting and communication abilities. Self‑driven and able to prioritize workload to meet tight deadlines. Experience with SAP, Power BI, Anaplan and Think‑Cell is a strong plus. Team player with a strong work ethic. All positions are eligible for an annual profit award or bonus based on company results. This is a hybrid role requiring approximately 2 days per week at our 1745 Broadway location in New York City.
