Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) | Behavioral Health Float Pool

Location: Avera Behavioral Health Center – Sioux Falls. Worker Type: Regular. Work Shift: Rotating days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays (United States). Pay Range: $24.50 – $33.75 an hour, dependent upon experience. Position Highlights This position floats to all of Behavioral Health Inpatient units, The Link, BHS Urgent Care, and Behavioral Health Adolescent Addiction Unit. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will enjoy a patient‑focused care environment with a dedicated team focused on quality outcomes. You will be dynamic, flexible, and engaged in impacting lives every day while working with behavioral health conditions. You will be part of an autonomous and energizing team that values critical thinking and high‑quality care. Schedule Varied shifts; 72 hours/2 weeks. Every third weekend and every third holiday rotation. What You Will Do Collect data and conduct focused nursing assessments of patients’ health status. Participate with other health care providers in the development and modification of patient‑centered health care plans. Implement nursing interventions within those plans. Assist in evaluating responses to interventions. Maintain safe and effective nursing care, rendered directly or indirectly. Advocate for the best interests of the patient. Communicate and collaborate with patients and health care team members. Assist with health counseling and teaching. Delegate and assign nursing interventions to implement the plan of care. Essential Qualifications Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Board of Nursing. Active license in the state of practice upon hire. Ability to work the required hours. Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties. Ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds.
