Maintenance Supervisor

Job Title Maintenance Supervisor (Trades Technician IV) – Position No. 00257 Purpose of the Position This position is primarily responsible for providing building maintenance repairs to the Freeman Center and Pope Chapel, ensuring the facilities are kept clean and in good working condition. Responsibilities Manage and supervise repairs and maintenance tasks in electrical, carpentry, plumbing/steam fitting, HVAC, kitchen equipment, and bleacher systems. Communicate effectively with staff and stakeholders. Create daily schedules and lead housekeeping/maintenance operations. Respond to on‑call emergency repairs as needed. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proficiency in multiple maintenance trades. Strong communication and leadership skills. Ability to schedule and coordinate work efficiently. Computer literacy. Availability for on‑call emergency repairs. Education and Experience High school graduate or equivalent (valid driver’s license required). Experience performing building maintenance and supervising employees. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or vocational training in building maintenance trades. Experience in a university/college setting. Experience purchasing supplies and/or materials. Salary Annual salary ranges from $54,827 to $68,534, commensurate with education and experience. Conditions of Employment This is a classified position requiring completion of a 12‑month probationary period. Successful candidates will attend a 2‑day New Employee Orientation Program.
