Solar Construction Project Manager

About The Role We’re looking for a Solar Construction Project Manager for a 2‑month contract assignment (W‑2) with our client. This position is based in Avon, NY 14414 and requires familiarity with NYSERDA regulations and EPC project management. Location: Avon, NY 14414. Per diem available. You will report to the onsite manager. Key Responsibilities Site Management: Oversee ground‑mounted system installation and coordinate with contractors to ensure adherence to local AVON, NY solar regulations. Grid Interconnection: Manage the technical aspects of connecting high‑capacity solar systems with the Solar Farm. Project Planning and Execution: Handle project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and team member communication from development through commissioning. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. 5+ years of hands‑on experience with technical installation on commercial solar systems. Strong ability to read and understand solar energy system drawings and schematics. Helpful Qualifications A two‑ or four‑year technical degree. Experience with Helioscope or similar solar design software. Background managing commercial solar projects from 50kW to 1.5MW scale. Familiarity with utility interconnection processes and AHJ permitting. Benefits and Compensation Base salary range: $40.00/hr to $45.00/hr, dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills.
