Job Description

Join our dynamic team as an Assembler for the weekend shift, where you will be responsible for executing complex assembly tasks, coaching and mentoring junior team members, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Execute complex assembly tasks, including advanced mechanical assembly of components and subassemblies.
• Coach and train lower-level assemblers, providing guidance on techniques, safety procedures, and quality standards.
• Ensure adherence to all safety and regulatory compliance standards.
• Continuously review and recommend improvements to assembly processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other departments to resolve design or manufacturing issues.
• Perform final quality inspections and testing to ensure assembled products meet company standards and specifications.
• Maintain inventory of parts and materials required for assembly, ensuring optimal stock levels.
• Follow lean manufacturing guidelines, providing continuous improvement suggestions for gained efficiency.

Essential Skills

• At least 2–5 years of experience in assembly or manufacturing roles.
• Expertise in reading and interpreting complex technical documents, including engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to train and mentor junior team members and contribute to team development.
• Strong knowledge of quality control processes and manufacturing best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines without compromising quality.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working in and on an assembly line.
• Proficiency with power tools and hand tools.
• Experience following prints, schematics, or build SOPs.

Work Environment

Weekend shift hours are Friday to Sunday from 5 AM to 5:30 PM, with a 10% shift differential. Training will be required on the first or second shift before commencing the weekend shift, lasting 3-4 weeks. The role includes working 36 hours with a 10% shift premium added to cover the missing 4 hours to reach 40. Physical requirements include the ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch as needed, and possess good manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gilbert, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.30/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
