Food Service Supervisor

Overview As Myfresh Cafe or Amato's coordinator you will oversee day-to-day operations to ensure optimal customer experience and smooth kitchen operation. The role directs the food preparation process for hot plate and cold well products to maximize sales while limiting spoilage and maintaining Food Safety Standards. Location and Employment Maplefields - St. Albans, St. Albans, VT 05478. Position Type: Full Time. Salary Range: $20.00 - $22.00 hourly. Job Category: Retail. Benefits Paid vacation time Paid personal/sick time Paid holidays Health plan offering $0 deductible option Dental, vision and supplemental insurance plans are available 401k plan available Opportunity for advancement Responsibilities Prepare customer orders as per food prep procedures and ensure the hot plate and cold well are full of a fresh variety of grab-and-go items. Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, including washing dishes and cleaning equipment and surfaces. Receive, rotate and put away all incoming orders. Communicate positively with kitchen staff and store staff; ask for help when needed. Work with Store Manager to hire, manage and train kitchen staff. Maintain appropriate inventory levels of product and place orders to prevent shortages. Communicate with staff clearly and address issues appropriately. Maintain organized inventory to reduce waste and ensure proper rotation. Ensure all product is dated properly and temperature checks are performed and documented. Complete shift tasks as assigned by Store Manager and handle any unexpected tasks. Lead the kitchen during busy times and direct staff when needed. Create a positive work environment with respect and teamwork among coworkers. Record waste and proactively reduce unnecessary waste. Qualifications Kitchen experience and a valid food safety certificate or willingness to obtain certification. Ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to work with little or no supervision. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Availability Shifts vary by location and are established based on business needs. In a leadership position, shifts will vary to enable interaction with all employees and training for each time period.
