Job Details Position: Travel Registered Nurse – PCU / Progressive Care Unit Location: Columbus, Ohio Setting: Mixed-acuity Surgical Oncology PCU Duration: 16 weeks Shift Duration: 12-hour nights Shifts Per Week: 3 Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 - $2,040 Orientation: 72 hours Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics Charting System: Epic Registered Nurse Job Requirements Active RN license in hand at the time of submission Minimum 2 years of total acute care nursing experience At least 1 year of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience required Current acute care experience within the last 12 months required Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS Experience with telemetry, progressive care, and mixed-acuity patient care preferred Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program Ability to work variable weekends and float within scope of practice Registered Nurse Responsibilities Provide safe, high-quality care to adult and geriatric PCU patients with surgical oncology diagnoses Monitor and manage patients receiving chemotherapy, blood transfusions, IV antibiotics, insulin drips, and heparin drips Recognize and respond to oncologic emergencies, including cytokine release syndrome Deliver chest tube care and other progressive care interventions as needed Maintain strong infection prevention practices and help reduce patient falls Document accurately in Epic and collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams Adapt to changing unit needs and provide care within scope across related acute care oncology areas Apply now to advance your travel nursing career in Columbus, Ohio and join a dedicated surgical oncology healthcare team today.
