You will be responsible for supervising all receiving team members and providing guidance to any others working within area of responsibility.You will be active on the warehouse floor, walking the aisles and docks to coach your team and proactively address areas of opportunity. You will operate in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment, ensuring that safety and efficiency standards are not compromised.Key Responsibilities:Supervise warehouse operations including but not limited to receiving, replenishment, unloading, checking, and safety processes in a cold perishable and freezer warehouse environment.Ensure proper product temperatures are reviewed, validated, maintained and documented with date, code and count in WMS (warehouse management system) from arrival at dock until put away, ensuring quality of products is never compromisedEnsure trucks are unloaded properly and safelyEnsure all pallets are tagged and recorded appropriatelyMust ensure the accurate location of product and protection of the same is adhered to by all employeesManage Incident Rate (OIR) and Lost Time Incident Rate (LTI) by monitoring sanitation, safe working conditions, ensuring safety policies are followed, holding pre-shift meetings and proper usage of material handling equipmentMonitor/audit daily for GMP, COOL, HAACP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) and other food safety guidelinesAccount for any inventory losses/product shrinkComplete and file error and exception walk through template, pre-shift assignment and update template and equipment condition checklistsEnsure Emergency Contact list for team members and building conditions are up to date Understand the Emergency Procedures, ensure they are accessible and participate in update reviewsCheck computerized time/attendance on a daily basis to verify team members have the proper time clock punches in the systemEnsure all team member forms for Time Adjustment, PTO requests, etc. are coordinated for staffing purposes and turned into HR timely for processing in the correct pay periodReview and act based on daily and weekly WLM and Utilization reports to ensure acceptable levels of performance are maintainedEnsures all paperwork (logs, driver bills, operational documents) are properly maintainedCollect/analyze data to identify opportunities for improvement and solutionsParticipate in the hiring process to include interviews, selection, etc.Onboarding, retention, and trainingConducts performance reviews for team membersProvides input to manager regarding promotions and terminationsCrosstrain in all receiving team positions to stay current on duties, training and reaching minimum productivity levelsOther duties as assignedQualifications:High school diploma or GED. College coursework, continuing technical education or comparable business experience preferred2 years related warehouse experience preferredSupervisory experience in a warehouse environment preferredExperience operating Material Handling Equipment preferred Skills & QualificationsHandle and prioritize requests from multiple sourcesAbility to apply strong math skills that result in identification of opportunities and justify action plan recommendationsAbility to provide clear and constructive feedback, coaching, and counselingAccuracy and attention to detailAbility to take directions using the headset selection system (such as VoCollect)Ability to accommodate flexible schedules to meet the needs of the customer to include nights, weekends, and holidaysEnvironmental Job Conditions:Independently lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and 100 lbs. occasionallySit, stand, walk bend, squat on a frequent to continual basis in a refrigerated warehouse environmentGrasp, reach, push or pull (such as boxes of product, or a hand truck) on a frequent basisEndurance for continuous, fast paced workFluctuating temperatures and withstand freezing temperatures as low as -20 degrees FahrenheitAble to work while wearing appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for the job (such as steel-toed protective footwear, harness, safety glasses, hard hat, gloves, insulated clothing, etc.)Products may contain food allergens (such as fish, shellfish, peanuts, etc.)Utilize equipment for the job safely and accurately after training (such as computer, handheld tracker, copiers, scanners, printers, radio headsets, forklift, reach truck, etc.)In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position.
