Pay Range $69,705.00 - $104,558.00 Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 This is a contract role scheduled to last up to 6 months. Responsibilities Prepares balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports; analyzes trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to predict future revenues and expenses. Reports organization’s finances to management and offers suggestions about resource utilization; relies on established guidelines, requires limited independent judgment. Collects data, analyzes and prepares annual and monthly GAAP financial statements for the credit union and its subsidiaries, on both a stand‑alone and consolidated basis. Collects data, analyzes and prepares other reports on a monthly or ad‑hoc basis as required by the board, management, or other departments. Assists management in researching, interpreting, and recommending changes to accounting policies and procedures based on regulations and pronouncements issued by external bodies such as the National Credit Union Administration, Financial Accounting Standards Board, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Ensures all appropriate parties review comments prior to the approval of the Controller. Leads departmental projects or acts as liaison for organizational projects, interacting heavily with other team members and management internally and externally, focusing on technical accounting and process development. Performs administrative duties for accounting systems/programs including wires, corporate credit card and reimbursement, bank accounts, and the Federal Reserve; establishes appropriate accounting treatment for transactions related to subsidiaries and other entities. Interacts with external auditors, including regulatory auditors; gathers and compiles necessary information on behalf of the organization. Mantains, analyzes, and reconciles deferred loan origination fees, participation loan program, deferred rent, mortgage servicing rights, derivatives, and other complex accounting transactions. Prepares all city, county, state, and federal tax returns, including property tax, sales tax, and 1099 forms. Maintains and reconciles general ledger accounts, modifying, adding, or deleting numbers, and keeping a history of accounts. Prepares the quarterly NCUA call reports (5300) and other routine external financial reporting such as the weekly Federal Reserve Board Regulation D, Reserve Requirements of Depository Institutions, Form 2900, the FAST and Raddon reports. Performs other duties as assigned; complies with regulatory compliance and training requirements such as BSA regulations. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent years of experience required. 3–5 years of prior relevant experience required. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
