We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical engineering, systems engineering, and project management. This role involves designing innovative solutions, conducting research, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring projects from concept to completion. The Design Engineer will utilize various software tools and methodologies to ensure successful project execution while adhering to industry standards.

• Develop and design mechanical systems and components using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other CAD software.
• Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues and implement effective solutions in manufacturing and construction projects.
• Manage project scheduling and timelines to ensure timely delivery of designs.
• Collaborate with engineers from various disciplines including civil engineering, quantum engineering, and systems engineering.
• Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) in the design process for automation solutions.
• Perform data collection and analysis to support design decisions and improvements.
• Create detailed schematics and documentation for all designs, ensuring compliance with GD&T standards.
• Engage in laboratory testing and validation of prototypes to ensure functionality and performance.
• Apply scripting skills in Python or C++ for automation of design processes or data analysis tasks.
• Conduct research on new technologies and methodologies that can enhance design capabilities.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience designing thermoformed packaging with a focus on manufacturability.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks is essential.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in mechanical design principles.
• Ability or willingness to design production tooling; CNC programming experience is a plus.
• Strong project ownership: manage projects from design through prototyping and tooling.
• Flexible and collaborative; willing to work on any project and support team needs.
• Able to meet deadlines and work within structured schedules and KPIs/
• Willingness to learn Company systems, tooling standards, and ISO processes.
