Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 20-bed Multi Trauma Unit serving a highly complex, high-acuity patient population
• Manage patients requiring chest tubes, tracheostomies, suction, and trauma-related interventions
• Operate and monitor specialized equipment including ventilators, feeding pumps, IV pumps, wound vacs, specialty beds, and suction devices
• Perform and assist with bedside procedures including chest tube placement and bedside bronchoscopy
• Maintain patient ratios of approximately 1:4; charge nurse is expected to be free of a patient assignment
• Document and manage patient care using Meditech / CPN EMR

• Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital PCU experience
• Active RN license valid in the state of Colorado (or compact eligibility)
• BLS certification (required)
• ACLS certification (required)

• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Prior experience with Meditech EMR
• Experience managing trauma patients, trachs, and chest tubes in an acute care setting
• Strong team-oriented mindset with comfort working in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment

• Work within a Level 1 Trauma Center alongside motivated, collaborative nursing staff and highly supportive charge nurses and physicians
• Gain exposure to a diverse, complex patient population with access to strong tech support on both day and night shifts
