Responsibilities Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities: Design for HVAC, plumbing and piping projects. Prepare design documents for permitting, bidding and construction. Attend site surveys and field measure existing conditions. Prepare cooling and heating load calculations utilizing Trane Trace Software. Write reports on HVAC systems and designs. Prepare HVAC load calculations. Attend client meetings during the design of a project and during construction. Requirements Essential Skills and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering 10-15 years of design experience for HVAC systems Engineer-In-Training or Professional Engineer License preferred Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office. Familiar with Trane Trace 700 or Trace 3D plus (for the cooling/heating loads calculations). Capable of writing reports on HVAC systems and designs. Curiosity and interest in continuous learning in AI and comfort experimenting and iterating quickly; uses data to validate ideas and measure impact.
