Details Acute care hospital setting with 304 staffed beds Med/Surg Telemetry unit 13-week assignment on nights (3x12s, 7p-7a) Patient ratio of 1:5 Required to work every other weekend Rare on-call requirement, limited to the first 4 hours if activated May float within scope to like units or sister facilities as needed Uses Epic EMR Requirements Active SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only) required; NIHSS preferred Minimum 2 years of MS/Tele nursing experience required Epic EMR experience required Driver's license and SSN required for consideration Additional Information Manages cardiac telemetry and med/surg patients, including monitoring for dysrhythmias and use of rapid response/code teams Skills such as IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, and respiratory support (BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, oxygen administration) are utilized Experience with wound care, isolation precautions, and cardiovascular post-procedure care (post cath, post cardiac surgery) is valuable Scrub color required is royal blue Parking available in downtown lots/garages with a distributed parking pass at no cost; garage clearance limited to average SUV/truck height During hurricane season (June through November), staff may be assigned to emergency response teams First-time travelers may be considered depending on the position Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler Local candidates considered on a case-by-case basis at a reduced rate; non-local candidates are prioritized Must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility to qualify for standard travel rate Block scheduling may be accommodated with manager approval, depending on unit needs American Traveler Job ID P-745585.
