Maintenance Millwright

Job Title Georgia‑Pacific’s Oriented Strand Board (OSB) plant in Alcolu, South Carolina is seeking a Maintenance Millwright to support a highly skilled, hourly position that requires a thorough understanding of safe work practices, troubleshooting, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment. Key Responsibilities Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures. Participate actively in safety programs. Help meet or exceed production, waste, and quality goals through a quality maintenance program. Troubleshoot, install, align, dismantle, repair and maintain industrial machinery and mechanical equipment to improve reliability and uptime. Perform periodic maintenance to identify and correct mechanical defects before they lead to equipment failure and downtime. Communicate with operations associates to identify and prioritize maintenance needs. Required Qualifications Experience installing, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial equipment. Experience troubleshooting conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and pumps. Experience with fabrication and welding. Preferred Qualifications Experience with precision alignment of motors, couplings, bearings, and pumps, including lubrication. Certification in welding. Experience with machine tool and die. Experience reading blueprints and performing precision measurements. Experience using a computer for record‑keeping and documentation functions. High school diploma or GED. Work Schedule Must commit to a 12‑hour rotating shift, including holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
