Director Food and Beverage

Responsibilities and Duties
• Develop and implement a strategic plan for food and beverage operations to meet business objectives and enhance the guest experience.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the food and beverage department, including budgeting, forecasting, inventory management, and staffing.
• Hire, train, and motivate a high-performing team of food and beverage professionals, including chefs, cooks, servers, and bartenders.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with local suppliers to ensure the highest quality products are used in food and beverage operations.
• Work closely with other departments, such as sales and marketing, to coordinate food and beverage offerings for events and special occasions.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
• Monitor industry trends and incorporate new ideas and concepts into food and beverage offerings.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures.
• Manage the guest feedback process to continuously improve the guest experience. Respond to guest feedback as needed.
• Manage internal communications to ensure Callaway Resort & Gardens hosts are equipped with the information they need to execute all events, programming, and day-to-day guest communications.
• Proven success in managing multiple food and beverage outlets, with a track record of delivering exceptional service and profitability across all venues.
• Foster a collaborative, innovative, and mission-driven team culture aligned with Callaway Resort & Gardens' values and commitment to guest service.
• Manage departmental marketing budgets to ensure maximum ROI and alignment with revenue targets.
• Lead, mentor, coach, and develop a high-performing team; set expectations and ensure accountability for results.
• Serve as the department and property duty manager as scheduled.

Experience
• Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in food and beverage management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a large team.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
• Knowledge of current trends and innovations in food and beverage operations.
• Experience managing budgets and forecasting financial performance.
• Strong customer service skills with a passion for delivering an exceptional guest experience.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Able to comprehend instructions and retain information.
• Able to maintain dependable work attendance and flexibility with assigned work schedules including any required overtime, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Able to be flexible to handle frequent changes in priorities.
• Able to operate different types of motorized vehicles, including but not limited to automobiles, vans, golf carts, and other all-terrain vehicles as well as ability to enter and exit vehicle multiple times daily.
• Able to sit, stand and walk; climb and descend indoor and outdoor stairs.
• Able to move, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist.
• Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
• Able to analyze, forecast data, and make judgments.
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds and assist with event setup and breakdown.
• Able to obtain a GA driver's license and auto insurance.
• Able to work in various environments, including indoor and outdoor settings, and in different weather conditions.
