Principal Actuarial Analyst - Reinsurance | Fully Onsite

Explore opportunities at all levels across Actuarial, Finance, and Project Management. You will report to the Vice President of Reinsurance. What You Do Support preparing reinsurance pricing models and performing analysis for flow and block reinsurance transactions Enhance processes by developing and automating tools to be used at various stages of pricing and analysis Perform sensitivity analysis and product feature testing; summarize and communicate findings in a precise and organized manner to the broader team Support due diligence process including but not limited to actuarial appraisals, experience studies, seriatim data, etc. which contribute to the preparation of presentations and reports Lead (or support) the modeling and analysis in more technical and complicated projects Support reinsurance audit Continuously challenge the status quo and stay abreast of regulatory changes that will affect reinsurance decision Liaison with broader actuarial function, including but not limited to actuarial pricing, product development and valuation teams Peer review team members’ work Demonstrate a continued desire to learn and develop as a key member of the team Other ad-hoc tasks as they arise Utilization of artificial intelligence tools and resources (e.g. generative AI) What You Bring Four-year degree required in actuarial science, math, physics, economics, engineering, or related field 4+ SOA exams passed 4+ years relevant experience, working directly for a life/annuity (re)insurance company, or consulting firm Proficiency in MS Excel, Access, VBA. Experience programming in SQL, R preferred. Experience in annuity product development/pricing, AAT, PBR, is a plus Experience in reinsurance preferred Broad business acumen, with ability to manage multiple diverse projects simultaneously High adaptability and agility in a dynamic environment, willingness to be available outside standard work hours when necessary You must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring immigration sponsorship now or in the future. This includes holders of H-1B, H4, L-1, L-2, TN, OPT, CPT, and other nonimmigrant visas Job posting range: $112,001 - $134,000 Note the job posting range is exclusive of company benefits or other compensation. This role is also eligible for an annual incentive program. If you are hired, your final base salary will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, experience, skills, competencies, and/or education. In addition to those factors, we will also consider internal equity of our current employees. Please keep in mind that the range provided is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at or near the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth. This position is eligible for domestic relocation assistance.
