You will be actively involved in advanced procedures such as ACL TPLO, Arthroscopy, Patellar Luxation, Elbow and Hip Dysplasia repair, Fracture Repair, and Gait Analysis. Our surgeons have extensive training, including PhD research in canine hip replacement, and utilize state‑of‑the‑art diagnostics and techniques like 3D printing and virtual surgery to plan and execute complex cases. Location Address 21648 Midland Drive Shawnee, KS 66218 Job Description Your Impact as a Veterinary Technician Utilize Your Full Skillset: You'll be a vital part of the medical team, providing comprehensive patient care, including administering treatments, monitoring anesthesia, and performing lab work. Be a Leader and Mentor: You’ll guide and support the medical team, ensuring an efficient workflow while mentoring others to help them grow their skills and careers. Partner with Clients: You'll be a key point of contact for pet owners, educating them on treatments, reviewing medical records, and confidently answering their questions. What You’ll Bring to the Team Obtaining radiographs and, in the future, running the CT machine Running basic laboratory tests (complete blood counts and blood chemistry panels) Pre, peri, and post operative care for surgical patients Anesthesia monitoring Maintaining surgical suite and equipment Advanced role in patient care and client communication Willingness to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members Maintain reliable and predictable attendance Perform other tasks assigned by management Skills and Qualifications: Veterinary Technician Certification (RVT, CVT, or LVT credentials) preferred Minimum 5 years of assisting veterinarians required Excellent communication skills with clients and team members Proficient time management, ability to problem solve, learn, and handle multiple tasks Enthusiastic team player with a patient and positive professional attitude. Must be able to work with and restrain pets of at least 50 pounds, and up to 125 lbs with assistance, and work on feet most of the day.
