**Summary/Objective

**

The Stockroom Clerk is responsible for maintaining the stockroom and managing inventory levels, ensuring all departments are supplied with materials as needed. This role also supports shipping and receiving activities by ensuring accurate entry and tracking of incoming and outgoing goods. The Inventory Clerk plays a key role in minimizing discrepancies through accurate data entry and close collaboration with both the production and operation teams.

**

1. Organizing and maintaining goods and materials in the stockroom ensuring items are properly stored and identified.

2. Managing the inflow and outflow of stock.

3. Maintaining accurate records of inventory by processing inventory transactions in the ERP system.

4. Efficiently maintains physical condition of warehouse to make sure all is clean and safe.

5. Responsible for accurately forecasting and maintaining stock of consumable inventory for specific groups and/or areas.

6. Support the production floor by pick and pull all parts required on any work order. Ensure parts are issued to the correct production order in a timely manner.

7. Communicate with Production, Operations, and Inventory teams on any shortages, discrepancies, or damaged parts.

8. Replenish stockroom and/or point of use centers with incoming material.

9. Manage Kanban system in the stockroom, including requisition of needed materials to ensure sufficient on-hand stock.

10. Assist with consistent cycle counting of product inventory, periodic location audit and with annual physical inventory.

11. Actively engages with other members of the company to continuously strive to improve processes, create efficiencies and reduce costs.

12. Support the receiving/shipping team as needed by receiving and inspecting incoming shipments for accuracy and damage by verifying and documenting the contents of incoming and outgoing shipments.

13. Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or by hand.

14. Move and allocate raw material, components or finished parts to appropriate work facilities as needed.

15. Empty chip hoppers as needed.

16. Any/all other duties as assigned.

**Work Environment and Physical Demands

**

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing/office environment. Must be able to operate a computer/keyboard, ability to use phone, and sit for extended periods of time. Communicate using speech, hearing, written, and vision skills. May also work occasionally on the production floor requiring the use of safety equipment to include, but not limited to- safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel toed work boots or shoes.

Work involves frequent lifting of materials and product up to 50 pounds and seldom lifting to 75lbs. Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle and/or adjust equipment. Moderate reaching, pushing, pulling, gripping, and grasping.

**Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

**

This is a full-time position at 40+ hours per week. The standard schedule shift is from 6:30 am- 3:00pm, Monday through Friday. Occasional overtime, evening and weekend work may be required to meet business demands.

**Compensation

**

Our current hiring pay range for this position is $19-$25/hourly. This hiring pay range is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets and, in some instances, may include education, work experience, knowledge, skills and certifications.

In addition to this base pay, Rockford Ball Screw employees are eligible for a bonus. Depending on your position you may be categorized into different tiers in the quarterly or annual bonus plan. Currently, this position is classified as a Quarterly Bonus within the Individual Contributor tier.

Required Education and Experience

1. Must be 18 years or older.
2. High School Diploma/GED equivalent or significant relevant work experience.
3. Forklift certification or ability to become certified.
4. Average level of computer literacy (utilizing computers, scanners, systems, etc.).
5. Ability to read/write, perform basic arithmetic, and follow verbal and written instructions.

Preferred Education and Experience

1. 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting
2. 1+ years of experience in an inventory role
