Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to ER patients, including rapid assessment and triage of presenting issues.
• Administer medications, monitor patient responses, and promptly address adverse reactions.
• Initiate and adjust treatments per physician direction; respond to acute emergencies with appropriate interventions.
• Monitor and interpret vital signs, perform basic life support as needed, and establish IV access when indicated.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes clearly in the electronic medical record; communicate changes to the care team.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, technicians, and support staff to ensure safe, efficient, patient-centered care and timely disposition.

Requirements

• Active registered nurse (RN) license.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
• ER/acute care experience preferred; ability to work in a fast-paced ER environment.
• Must be able to work night shifts and participate in a weekend rotation as described (every 4th weekend).
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and excellent communication skills.
• Willingness to undertake a travel assignment of approximately 13 weeks.
