What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, court staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government courthouse location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, entrances, hallways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and public areas, verify identification and/or visitor authorization when required, and report suspicious behavior, prohibited items, and/or policy violations in accordance with post instructions.
• Support courtroom and administrative operations by maintaining a visible presence, assisting with directional questions, and following post orders related to daily schedules, restricted areas, and/or high-traffic proceedings.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
