Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a leadership role overseeing pharmacy operations at a dynamic hospital environment. This opportunity is for an Interim Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to manage and support pharmacy services within a behavioral health setting.

Location: Wayne, WV (River Park Hospital)

Position Type: Contract, starting 8/31/26 until a permanent Director of Pharmacy is hired

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• On-call duties after shifts and on weekends

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead pharmacy department administration and staff management as PIC
• Oversee staffing, workflow, and distribution of medications
• Collaborate with clinical teams to support patient care in behavioral health
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards
• Support inventory management with pharmacy technicians
• Participate in training and transition with retiring Director of Pharmacy

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Current pharmacist licensure in West Virginia
• Hospital pharmacy background strongly preferred
• Experience with Omnicell automation system (training provided)
• Familiarity with HCS order entry system (training provided)
• Leadership skills managing pharmacists and technicians
• Strong organizational and communication abilities

• Pharmacy staff includes 1 full-time pharmacist, 4 per diem pharmacists, and 2.6 full-time equivalent technicians
