Duties

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Incumbent performs specialized treatment of complex mental illness.
• Incumbent incorporates complex multiple causation in differential diagnosis and treatment of Veteran patients.
• Develops and implements methods for measuring effectiveness of practice and services in specialty areas, utilizing outcome evaluations to improve treatment services.
• Offers consultation to colleagues and students on the psychosocial treatment of patients treated in specialty areas, rendering professional opinions based on experience and expertise and role modeling effective practice skills.
• Demonstrates the ability to teach and mentor staff and students in the special area of practice and to provide supervision for licensure or specialty certifications.
• Performs work related to the review, monitoring, analysis, planning and assessment of various programs.
• Incumbent must possess the ability to organize work, set priorities, meet multiple deadlines, and evaluate assigned program area(s).

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 08:00am - 04:30pm (although must be amenable to work outside normal tour of duty as a manager/supervisor to address emergent needs of Veterans/programs/facility)
