As a COTA in the school setting, you'll work closely with occupational therapists, educators, and families, helping students achieve their potential through individualized and group interventions. This full-time position averages 7 hours per day, ensuring both continuity with your caseload and work-life balance throughout the school year.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license valid in Arizona
• Valid IVP (Identity Verified Prints) Fingerprint Clearance Card required for school-based roles in Arizona
• Previous experience working with school-aged children or in educational settings is highly desirable
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Strong understanding of IEP documentation and student goal setting
• Ability to adapt to varied caseloads and evolving student needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement occupational therapy plans developed by supervising therapists, tailored for the school population
• Document student progress, prepare progress reports, and assist with evaluations
• Collaborate with special education staff, teachers, and families to promote student success
• Assist students in improving fine motor skills, daily living activities, and overall participation in school routines
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to state/federal compliance requirements
